The Posts module is an essential Page Builder module of Uncode. Thanks to this module, you can show the dynamic list of entries of all Post Types such as blog articles, portfolio projects, shop products, pages of the site, or extra Posts Type custom (news, events, etc).
The Posts module has the Query Options in the General tab, thanks to which it's possible to configure the dynamic content and choose different design modes through the Layout Mode option. The Layout option has 4 different configuration modes. Depending on the chosen model, the content of the various tabs of the module will change to present specific options for each method:
Grid
Grid is the most popular layout; it represents the classic Blog layout in which the elements are presented as organized thumbnails. There are various layout methods within the Layout dropdown.
- Masonry is the default layout mode where items are arranged in a vertically cascading grid. Masonry is a JavaScript grid layout library. It works by placing elements in optimal positions based on available vertical space, sort of like a mason fitting stones in a wall. You’ve probably seen it in use all over the Internet.
- In Fit Rows, items are arranged into rows that progress vertically, similar to what you would expect from a layout that uses CSS floats.
- Cell by Rows is a vertical grid layout where items are centered inside each cell. Please note that due to a technical limitation of the plugin, this method is not compatible with filters and that the first thumbnail must be bigger (so it is recommended to use this method only with Overlay and Matrix layouts where you can control width and height variations).
- Vertical is a layout where items are stacked vertically.
- The Packery layout mode is pretty similar to the Masonry layout, but it uses a bin-packing algorithm, this is a fancy way of saying, “it fills empty gaps”.
Carousel
Carousels are an attractive way to present relevant content in a small space with an attractive and captivating layout. Carousels show a collection of items one at a time. They are also known as ‘sliders’. Typical uses of carousels include scrolling news, featured articles on homepages, and portfolio or products galleries. Within the Module tab are the major configuration options, such as the number of elements present, the distance between them, the scrolling speed, the presence of additional navigation elements such as dots or arrows, and advanced options such as Stage Padding.
Titles
Titles layout is a modern design approach for displaying your Post Types, blog, portfolio, products, or any other custom Post Type. The Featured Media (images or video) appears on text hover in varied creative ways. This layout mode can be an alternative, successful and creative solution for all demanding designers who want to create a modern portfolio or an unconventional shop. This mode emphasizes typography, loading speed, and minimal design with a surprising effect.
Table
The new Table layout represents a clean, minimalist, and modern approach to presenting your Post Type content through a diverse set of possible variations. This layout is perfect when you want to create regular lists. The new Table layout can be a winning solution for presenting news on a page, creating a portfolio index, or even an e-commerce catalog view. This layout mimics a table design, where rows represent the items (posts), and the elements of the items (image, title, date, author, etc..) can be organized in columns.
