Introduced in Uncode version 2.12, the new Copy and Paste Settings feature is a powerful addition designed to significantly speed up your design workflow. This tool allows you to replicate configurations from one module to another with just a few clicks, ensuring consistency across your layout without manual reconfiguration.
Please note that settings can be pasted between modules of the same type (e.g., from a Heading module to another Heading module) to ensure that the parameters mapped correctly and the results are predictable.
How it Works
You will now find two new icons within the control bar of every module in the Page Builder:
- CS (Copy Settings): Click this icon to copy the entire configuration of the selected module to your clipboard.
- PS (Paste Settings): Click this icon on a target module of the same type to apply the copied settings instantly.
This feature was developed in response to community feedback, specifically for users looking for a way to maintain design harmony across multiple elements. Instead of manually adjusting margins, paddings, colors, or typography for every individual block, you can now "style" one element perfectly and simply broadcast those settings to others.
Key Benefits
- Design Consistency: Ensure that similar modules (like buttons or headings) across different sections share the exact same styling parameters.
- Rapid Prototyping: Build complex layouts faster by duplicating the logic and style of a module rather than recreating it from scratch.
- Precision: Avoid human error when trying to match specific values like custom hex codes or complex spacing values.
