Uncode supports custom WordPress menus, including multi-level dropdown menus and the Mega Menu option. There are two menu locations to work with; Primary and Secondary.
Once you have created your menu, and assigned it to a selected location, the menu will immediately appear on your site. You can then use the Uncode menu options in Theme Options → Menu to change or align a menu’s position of placement, transform a menu’s text or appearance (visuals), or include an animation feature.
Layout
Menu layout option:
- Horizontal Right: select this option if you want the menu to float on the right side.
- Horizontal Left: select this option if you want the menu to float on the left side.
- Horizontal Justify: select this options to justify the menu horizontally.
- Horizontal Center: select this option to center the menu.
- Horizontal Center Split: select this option to center split the menu.
- Horizontal Center Double: select this option to center double menu.
- Full width menu: set this switch to ON to expand your horizontal menu to the full width of the container.
- Vertical Lateral: select this option if you want a side menu with a fixed position.
- Vertical Off Canvas: select this option to position the menu outside the viewport, and slide in when triggered.
- Overlay: when this option is triggered, the menu will cover the entire page.
- Overlay Center: when this option is triggered, the menu will cover the entire page and the logo is center.
Extra options for vertical menus:
- Menu horizontal position: this option positions the vertical menu to the left or right in the viewport; in the overlay menu this refers to the logo in the closed state.
- Menu vertical alignment: use this option if you want to align the menu vertically within its container.
- Menu horizontal alignment: use this option to align the menu horizontally within its container.
- Vertical menu width: the slide declares the width of the vertical menu in px. This option does not apply for the vertical overlay menu.
Visuals
The visuals section manages the appearance of your menu using the following options:
- Menu shadows: turn this ON to activate a drop shadow in the edges of the menu.
- Menu dropdown shadow: activate this for the shadow effect on menu dropdown on desktop view. NB. this option works for horizontal menus only.
- Menu dropdown style: select the dropdown and Megamenu dropdown style.
- Menu dropdown focus: activate this option to have the Focus effect, the main Menu bar takes color if transparent, and an overlay layer is displayed to focus attention to the Menu.
- Menu borders: use this option to create a separator between the primary and the secondary menu. The borders option only works for a horizontal menu.
- Hide dropdown arrows: select this option if you want to hide the dropdown arrow for menu items with children.
- Menu Mobile Transparency: activate the menu transparency when possible.
- Custom Vertical Padding: activate custom padding above and below the logo.
Animation
Several animation options are available when a page is being scrolled:
- Sticky menu: when you select this option, the sticky menu will remain on top of the page while the content scrolls beneath.
- Sticky mobile menu: when you select this option, the sticky menu will remain on top of the page while the content scrolls beneath.
- Menu centered mobile: activate the centered style for mobile menu. NB. You need to have the Menu Sticky Mobile active.
- Menu hide: select this option to hide the sticky menu after a certain amount of scrolling. When the scrolling is reversed, the menu will reappear.
- Menu mobile hide: select this option to hide the sticky menu after a certain amount of scrolling. When the scrolling is reversed, the menu will reappear.
- Shrink menu: select this option if you want the sticky menu to shrink after a certain amount of scrolling.
- Menu Sub-Levels Animated: activate the animation for menu sub-levels. NB. this option works for horizontal menus only.
- Minimum logo height: select this option to specify the minimum height of your logo in pixels.
- Menu open items animation: select this option to specify the mobile menu animation type.
Additionals
The Additionals section gives you extra options you can select to enrich a menu:
- Hide secondary menu: in the event you have created and assigned a secondary menu in the WordPress menu area, you can hide it by selecting this option.
- Search Icon: select this option if you want to activate the search icon in the menu bar for either a horizontal or a vertical menu.
- WooCommerce cart: select this option if you want to activate the WooCommerce icon in the menu bar, for either a horizontal or a vertical menu. For this option to function, the WooCommerce plugin must be installed and activated.
- Top Line text: if you select to have a secondary menu, you can define a simple text to place within it by selecting this option.
- Woocommerce Cart on menu bar: show the cart icon in the menu bar when layout is on desktop mode (only for overlay and offcanvas menu).
- Woocommerce Cart on menu bar on mobile: show the cart icon in the menu bar when layout is on mobile mode.
