Uncode 2.9.1 introduces a new SmoothScroll effect, thanks to the implementation of the Lenis Smooth Scroll. This feature enables a smooth and modern scrolling experience across your website.
Advantages of SmoothScroll
- Smooth scrolling draws users into the flow of the experience, creating an immersive browsing experience where they forget they are navigating a web page.
- It ensures a consistent experience for all users, regardless of whether they use trackpads, mouse wheels, or other input devices.
- It addresses jumps and delays in scroll-related animations that occur due to multi-threading. Modern browsers often execute animations and effects asynchronously to scrolling, and Smooth Scroll helps solve this issue.
Activate SmoothScroll
To activate this option for your whole website please navigate to Theme Options → Customize → Scroll & Parallax → Smooth Scroll, screenshot .
The same option is also available in Page Options → Scroll → SmoothScroll, screenshot .
SmoothScroll Safe
Activate this option if you encounter any unexpected issues with the Smooth Scroll functionality, especially when working with complex or dynamic elements on the page. This can be helpful in cases where changes in page height, such as those triggered by elements like Tabs, Accordions, Toggles, or Ajax-based content, interfere with scrolling behavior. For example, if adjusting or expanding these elements causes the page layout to shift and prevents smooth scrolling to sections like the Footer, enabling this option can help and ensure that all areas of the page remain accessible, screenshot .
Notes
- Be aware that possible extra plugin elements that do not respond to scrolling require the use of a specific data-attribute. To exclude these elements, apply the
data-lenis-prevent
attribute to the div that should not respond to scroll events.
