Setting up a staging or development environment is a standard practice for testing updates and building sites safely. Depending on where you purchased Uncode, managing your staging domains will follow one of the workflows below.
Envato Market purchases
According to the Envato License Terms, you cannot use a single Standard License for multiple concurrent clients or live jobs. The rule is simple: 1 license = 1 Single end product (see Envato Market Regular License).
A license reset is only possible when migrating from a staging site to a live domain, and you must completely remove or de-register the staging site after migration. If you need to maintain a staging site indefinitely alongside a live site, you will require a separate license.
To avoid registration issues with Envato staging sites, please use one of these recommended approaches:
-
Option A: Create the staging website on a subdomain of the final website. Example:
staging.clientname.com(for staging) andclientname.com(for the final live website). -
Option B: Create all your client staging websites on your own developer subdomain and register them with the same Purchase Code during development. Examples:
clientname1.mywebsite.com,clientname2.mywebsite.com. Once development is complete, deploy the site and use a dedicated Purchase Code to register each final production domain.
If you are experiencing difficulties with marketplace migration or registration limits, please follow:
Direct Store purchases
If you purchased an Annual or Lifetime subscription plan directly from our store, managing your staging environments is incredibly simple and offers full autonomy. You do not need to purchase separate licenses for temporary testing or follow strict subdomain configurations.
Instead, you can effortlessly manage, activate, or swap your domains directly inside your personal dashboard. Simply log into your Undsgn Account and access the Websites tab, where you can view all your active installations. If you are migrating your project from a temporary environment to a production site, you can manually delete or deactivate the old staging URL from your account with a single click.
Deactivating an old test domain instantly frees up your license allocation slot, allowing you to reuse your License Key and activate it seamlessly on the new production installation. This complete self-service dashboard eliminates the need to contact our support desk for manual registration resets, giving you total control and independence over your development and deployment workflow.
